Mrs. Dasgupta was introduced to the world of Hindustani Classical Music at an age of five under the guidance of Dr. Gunobandhu Bhattacharjee. She passed Visharad (6th year) in India Classical Voice on Bangiya and Prayag at age of 13. She has been awarded by the respected Girija Bala Devi at Jorashanko Thakur Bari. Mrs. Dasgupta holds a Masters degree in Hindustani Classical Music from Rabindra Bharati University.

Lessons Plan for Beginners to Intermediate Level
Our Hindustani semi-classical vocal program introduces students to the beauty of Indian classical music in a simple, accessible and enjoyable format. These lessons focus on voice culture, swara understanding, rhythm awareness and light classical singing without becoming overly academic or rigid.
Students will learn:

  • Introduction of basic Taals.
  • Basics of Raagas and Raag Roop (Arohan and Avarohan, Alankar, etc.)
  • Swar Swadhana (Sargam, Paltas).

Indian Hindustani Classical Singing and Tagore Songs Lesson for Beginner & Intermediate Level – 50 Minutes

At present, Mrs. Dasgupta is working on Shashtriya Sangeet in Patiyala and Kirana Gharana under Dr. Sudokshina Manna. She is also currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Indian Classical music from Rabindra Bharati University as well as getting trained under Dr. Tanmoy Paul (Rampur Soha Suyan Gharana according to RBU syllabus) in Indian Classical music. Academically, Mrs. Dasgupta is a Sangeet Bivakar in Vocal Music, B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science, and an M.A. in Sociology. Moreover, she is a certificate holder in the course titled Workshop on Rabindrik Psychotherapy for Autism.

  • Mrs. M Dasgupta will provide lessons for beginners and intermediate level students on Indian Hindustani Classical Singing (Voice Training).
  • Students of all ages are welcome. However, for younger students, it is important that they are good at communication and have parental guidance during the lessons.
  • Students may book one lesson at a time, but it is advised to book lessons for 4 weeks from the ‘Booking Calendar’ in order to have regular lessons with Mrs. M Dasgupta every week, which is very important for steady improvement. Please note, Students are required to book at least 4 lessons per month.

How The Lesson Booking Process Works

Musicproindia.com is a live e-learning platform, which provides one-on-one and group music lessons/courses to learners.  Here is the step-by-step guide for the Lessons with Maestro Nayak.

Step 1: Visit our site and read all the details, we believe it is important for you to know all about us and our service before you book the lessons.
Step 2: Choose the subject (instrument/Dance etc.) you wish to learn and click on it. Or simply click on the ‘Book Lesson’ page from the menu bar, and check out the page of your subject. 
Step 3: Browse the Instructors offering lessons on the page, check all the details – the lesson description, their brief bio, etc. Also, choose your Currency based on your location such as INR, GBP, USD, or Euro.
Step 4: Now, choose the number of lessons you like to book from the Booking/Fees Structure section, and then, go to the Preferred Time Period section and choose the preferred day and time period you prefer to have the lesson. The tutor will provide you any 45 minutes slot within that very period of the time period chosen by you. 
Step 5: You can choose to book/buy more slots and blocks just by following the same procedure. Once you are done choosing/adding the slots, click on ‘View Cart’ and follow up with the payment procedure as you do on any online booking platform.
Step 6: Please read the Terms & Conditions before making the payment.
Step 7: While filling up your name, email, and address, etc. details, please mention your Skype ID/Google Meet ID in the additional information section. It will be helpful for us to share the ID with the tutor without asking you or calling for the same. Once you make the payment, you will receive an automated mail with the ‘Order Processing’ status. This means we have received your payment confirmation and initiated the process.

 

Note: That’s it, your job is done. Once we receive the payment notification from our payment gateway partner, we will mail you the Contact Details of the tutor to your email address which you have given to us while filling up the name, billing address details while making the payment. It is very important for you to provide us an active email address along with an active mobile phone number, so we can communicate with you if needed. Refunds: Refunds will be allowed only if the learner and teacher fail to finalize the lesson time (slot) from the ‘Preferred Slot’ chosen by the learner within 5 days of making payment.
